Nontron is the name of a village in the Dordogne department of France where it is believed knife making started at the beginning of the 13th Century. Today, the cutlery that bears its name (Coutellerie Nontronnaise) since 1928 produces handmade knives using ancestral methods and, yes modern tools as well.
This knife set was designed by renown French art deco artist Christian Ghion. Ultra contemporary architectural shape makes this knife set one of the most unique we have come across. Surprisingly comfortable in hand this knife set will embellish any modern table setting.
On a separate note, we cannot help but wonder the association with the Freedom Tower. Regardless if it is subjective design or coincidence this knife set is a masterpiece of modern art.
